Your company can't grow past the version of you running it
Six months of 1:1 coaching for bootstrapped founders who've become the bottleneck in their own business — and are done pretending that working more hours is the fix.
Starts at $2k/mo · application only · a handful of founders at a time.

The company has outgrown
the way you're running it.
Let me guess.
You built something that works. Real revenue, real customers, a team that mostly knows what it's doing. From the outside it looks like you made it.
From the inside, every decision still routes through you. Your team asks instead of deciding. The work you're best at — the thinking that actually moves the company — keeps getting pushed to the weekend, because the weekday belongs to everyone else's questions.
You've tried to delegate. It came back. So you took it back, and quietly concluded it's faster to just do it yourself. That conclusion is the trap, and some part of you already knows it.
Here's the uncomfortable part: the constraint isn't your market, your product, or your headcount. It's the operating system you're running as a leader — the habits that got you to here and won't get you past it.
No tool fixes that. Not even a very good one.
AI won't save you if you're still the bottleneck.
Most founders treat AI as a tool problem: find the right software and everything gets easier. It doesn't work that way. If every decision still routes through you, AI just helps the company wait on you faster.
I've rebuilt Castos around AI, and it now takes under 10 hours a week of my time. The tools were the easy part. The hard part was me: deciding faster, letting go of work I was good at, and building a team that decides without asking.
That's the work we do in coaching. The AI is a lot more useful once you're not the bottleneck.
Three things we work on
Eight years bootstrapping Castos to 7-figure ARR taught me that a founder-led company grows to exactly the size of the founder running it — and no further. These are the three constraints that show up, in this order, every single time.
Sharpen Your Judgment
Make the hard calls faster, with less second-guessing
Most founders don't have a strategy problem. They have a deciding problem — too many inputs, too little conviction, and a habit of revisiting settled calls at 11pm. We work on how you actually think: what you'll decide alone, what you'll delegate, what you'll deliberately leave undecided. You stop being the company's slowest step and start being its clearest one.
Liberate Your Time
Get your weeks back — and keep them
This is an identity shift before it's a calendar one. You move from the company's primary doer to its primary decision-architect, which means giving up work you're genuinely good at and tolerating it being done at 80% by someone else. We install the delegation and decision systems that make that stick, so the time you free up doesn't quietly refill within a month.
Elevate Your Team
Build a team that decides without you
A team that asks you everything isn't a bad team — it's a trained one, and you did the training. We change what you reward: raising the bar on ownership, letting people be wrong in ways that don't kill you, and coaching leaders instead of managing tasks. Your job becomes developing the people who develop the business.
I'm Craig Hewitt. I founded Castos, a podcast hosting company, and bootstrapped it to seven figures. It's still mine, with a team of 7, and it now runs on under 10 hours a week of my time.
Getting there meant rebuilding how Castos works around AI, and changing how I lead more than any tool did. I document the whole thing on YouTube, including the parts that didn't work.
Most CEO coaches are retired executives or career consultants. I'm still doing it. I run a team and still do the work, and I advise other companies on AI, so I'm in board meetings on strategy and sitting with the people doing the work, often in the same week.
I've coached more than 300 founders and CEOs. What I bring to our calls is what I dealt with this week, not a framework from a book.
What Founders Say
From founders I've coached
I always like talking with Craig. He has a way of cutting through noise and giving you exactly the insight you didn't know you needed.
Craig is a great coach because he has literally been there and done that. He has the experience and the firsthand knowledge of building a business and he really helped me take a step back and evaluated where my business was and what it needed.
Craig is an outstanding coach who brings clarity and focus to every session. His thoughtful questions help me cut through the noise and leave each call with a clear action plan and renewed motivation. I feel both supported and pushed to grow every week.
I've leaned on Craig countless times when blocked or confronted with a particularly tricky fork in the road. More than once, a single call with him has translated into clear next steps. Because he's actively scaling Castos himself, his advice is grounded in real SaaS operator experience. If you're a SaaS founder looking for a coach who keeps you moving forward, Craig's your guy.
Six months, one-on-one
Not a course, and not an implementation project — if you want someone to own AI for your sales and marketing team, that's my Fractional Head of AI work, not this. This is the slower, harder work of changing how you operate as a leader. Six months because that's roughly how long it takes for a new habit to survive a bad quarter.
Bi-Weekly 1-on-1 Sessions
Two 60-minute sessions each month, on you rather than on your task list. The hard calls you're avoiding, the person you need to have a conversation with, the thing you keep taking back from your team.
Unlimited Async Support
Real-time access to me via Slack or Voxer for guidance, feedback, and accountability between sessions. When you hit a roadblock, you don't wait—you get answers.
The Operating Playbook
The frameworks I actually use to run Castos — decision templates, delegation structures, hiring scorecards, the meeting cadence. Not a content library you never open. The handful of things that hold up under pressure.
The 90-Day Handoff
In the first 90 days we identify the three things only you are doing that someone else should own — and actually hand them off, with the support structure to make them stick. If nothing has moved off your plate by then, you shouldn't keep paying me.
Is this the right work for you?
This is for you if:
- You're the founder of a bootstrapped company at $1M+ in revenue, with a team.
- You're working more than 50 hours a week and you know it isn't sustainable.
- Your team asks you things they could decide themselves — and you answer, every time.
- You believe who you are as a leader has to change for the company to grow.
- You're willing to let work be done at 80% by someone else rather than 100% by you.
This is NOT for you if:
- You're an early-stage founder still searching for product-market fit.
- You want someone to run AI for your team — that's my Fractional Head of AI work, not coaching.
- You're looking for tactics rather than a change in how you operate.
- You're not willing to have your own assumptions challenged.
- You believe working harder is the only way through.
Six-month engagement
Two 1:1 sessions a month, unlimited async access in between, and the operating playbook I use to run Castos. For context — one leadership hire that doesn't work out costs you six figures and a year. Getting a handful of those decisions right pays for this many times over.
I coach a handful of founders at a time so the work stays deep. If I'm full, I'll tell you when the next spot opens.
Ready to stop being the bottleneck?
If you recognise yourself in most of this page — and you're willing to be uncomfortable about it for a few months — let's talk.
Coaching starts with an application. I read every one personally and reach out to schedule a Discovery Call when it's a fit. We'll find where you're actually stuck and decide together whether this is the right work. If it isn't, I'll tell you that.
I keep my coaching practice small, so every founder gets my full attention.
